International Arbitration

Our team acts as counsel and as arbitrators in disputes ranging from commercial matters to foreign direct investment.

Rebecca Huang is a Fellow (FCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Qualified Arbitrator with the ADR Institute of Canada, and an associate member of the U.S. College of Commercial Arbitrators. She has completed a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (hosted by Ciarb at the University of Oxford) and is a founding member of Singapore-based Nine Arbitration Chambers, through which she accepts arbitral appointments in international matters (with a particular emphasis on Chinese parties and evidence).

Anna Wong has over 15 years of experience in civil and administrative disputes, including as an arbitral secretary and as committee counsel for various regulatory bodies. She is an alumna of the Gold Standard Course in Commercial Arbitration, hosted by the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society (TCAS), and is also a Qualified Arbitrator with the ADR Institute of Canada, accepting domestic appointments.

Ryan Pistorius is a Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is also an alumnus of the TCAS Gold Standard Course. He has served as an arbitral secretary, including on a NAFTA review panel, and previously worked at an investment arbitration boutique in Paris. He represents businesses, investors, and sovereign states in a wide variety of disputes, and has direct experience with most of the world's leading arbitration rules (e.g., ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, ICDR-AAA, ADRIC, and ICSID).

In addition to experience as arbitration counsel, we represent parties in enforcing (or resisting enforcement of) foreign arbitral awards before the Canadian courts.
